My name is Brad Dassey and I am a recording artist.  I’ve been recording and composing, mixing and mastering music tracks for 18 years (Since 1998).

As a child, I’ve always had the knack for music.  I learned my first song, “When The Saints Go Marching In” on my friend Curt’s Casio keyboard when I was 6 years old.

I first found myself playing the Keyboard, then stemmed off to the Recorder, Viola and Harmonica just to name a few.  I’ve always had a musical talent and could just pick up any instrument and SOUND like I knew what I was doing.

I would always tap on desks and material objects around me to create various sounds and, “beats.”  The doctors thought I had A.D.H.D. because I couldn’t sit still.  I was always creating some kind of rhythm or melody.

In my Grade School years, I formed a one man, “Can Band.”  I had the opportunity to play in front of my school for a talent show, banging and drumming away on an old Folgers coffee can.

Out of Grade School and in my Jr. High School years I really took off with the keyboard and learned how to play, “Crocodile Rock,” “La Cucaracha,” and the “007 Theme” to name a few.  I then entered in the school talent show and played in front of the entire school which was well over 1,000 people.  I had the crowd really yelling and cheering me on.  It was the most amazing experience in the World.

While in Jr. High School, my grandmother Marlene had taught me more about chords and notes on her double panel organ.  My grandmother used to be a music teacher and one thing she taught me was, most music is learned and played by ear, most musicians don’t and can’t actually read / follow sheet music.  I too am one of those, “Play by Ear” recording artists.

During my High School years, I’ve decided to take my music to a bigger level.  I gave up the cover songs and decided to compose my very own music.  I recorded two Techno / Bass albums during my High School years.  Techno and Bass music was the, “IN” thing during that time-frame.  Word got around school and before I knew it, I was selling CD’s without even really trying.

After High School, I found myself doing more of my paid passion as being a DJ on the radio.  I was a jock for a roller skating rink in Manitowoc, WI and was on the radio with an AM station, AM 980 WCUB.

After being a jock and volunteering to do voice over work for select Christian Radio Stations, I decided to go into business for my family and I.  While focusing on my inkjet refill business career, music yet again was tugging at my heart and tugging HARD.

The summer of 2008, I decided to really look into more music making options.  I had purchased my first USB Midi Keyboard and also looked into various software programs and packages at Guitar Center of Appleton, WI.

I eventually gave up the inkjet refill business and worked at various jobs such as AT&T, Plexus, Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center to name a few, while continuing to work on my music as a hobby on the side.

Fast forwarding to today: my music library of virtual instruments is greater than ever and I am really pounding out the tunes on my computer.  I have hundreds of unfinished songs and I am excited to continue working with various recording programs and instruments to create likeable sounds and songs that can inspire the World.

I want to help the World and help people who are lost, suffering, struggling in life and who need encouragement.  I really hope to impact the lives of children and teens the most because he feels they need it the most.  I also wants to encourage the adults as well.

The music journey is not going to be an easy step in life and your support in any of the following ways would be greatly appreciated:

  • Prayers for myself and my two children, Natalie & Nolan
  • Financial support to cover the cost of creating and shipping CDs
  • Help distributing my music: creating copies of my CD’s and distributing them to others who may be encouraged by them
  • Networking with other Christian artists and radio stations

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my music.
